Storm cloud arising

            Light dancing in the sky               

The wind pushes me aside

As the clouds open wide

The rain it races on down

Fills the canyons below

I’m all alone on this hill

With no place to go

Come out of the storm

Back into the world (I go)

How can things remain the same

Now that I know

Perched on the edge of the cliff

            Barely hanging on

No time to think, just react

            And then the moments gone

After the tumult comes the peace

            From the fire new life

While I’m still shaking inside
